Jonathan Gross

Jonathan Gross is a Director, Renewable Energy at Monarch Private Capital. He is responsible for identifying and vetting worthwhile tax-credit-incentivized projects, as well as structuring the tax equity investments in renewable energy. His prior experience includes tax credit finance in the areas of affordable housing and the rehabilitation of historically significant commercial and residential buildings. 

Committed to expanding clean energy programs, Jon had served as a founding board member of the North Carolina Clean Energy Business Alliance (NCCEBA) trade association. He is a member of the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association (NCSEA) and was previously the treasurer for Clean Air Carolina, a nonprofit advocacy organization. Jon has worked with policymakers and other legislation influencers to protect and expand renewable energy tax credit programs, advocating for North Carolina’s continued leadership in solar energy production and the state’s resulting economic development.

Prior to joining MPC, Jon served as partner at CohnReznick and led the Renewable Energy Transaction Advisory Group of their Charlotte office. During his tenure, he provided financial consulting and modeling, tax structuring, equity placement, accounting, attestation, cost certification and other relevant financial and accounting services on behalf of investors, developers, solar and other renewable energy project sponsors, general partners and community development entities on all aspects of their transactions.

Jon earned a BA in accounting from Temple University. He is a licensed certified public accountant (CPA) in North Carolina and Pennsylvania and a member of the American Institute of CPAs, North Carolina Association of CPAs and Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs.
