ABOUT THE FILM SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
The purpose of the Monarch Private Capital Scholarship is to empower, educate, and increase career opportunities for residents of Atlanta-area Affordable Housing communities while supporting Georgia’s commitment to the film industry by offering certification in “On-Set Production” to motivated, passionate and LOCAL talent.
The scholarship is available only to residents of participating Georgia Affordable Housing Coalition (GAHC) member communities in metro Atlanta and covers tuition for “On-Set Film Production” certification at Georgia Film Academy’s (GFA) 18 credit-hour program at Pinewood Atlanta Studios or Georgia Piedmont Technical College. Upon completion of the first 12 credit-hours, students meeting GFA’s requirements may be selected for a paid film-industry internship, or complete their certification by attending a specialty film-craft elective.
