Hilltop Terrace

Lexington, North Carolina

The 43,500square-foot, four-story building was originally built in 1947 as the Memorial Hospital for the city of Lexington. The architectural style was Art Deco or Art Moderne. After several decades, the hospital ultimately relocated to a new facility, and in the early 1990s, the building was retrofitted into apartments.  In 2012, Hilltop Terrace underwent interior and exterior renovations according to federal standards for historic rehabilitation that improved the functionality, efficiency, and aesthetic of the property
