Ryan Dorsey

Ryan Dorsey is an associate in Monarch Private Capital’s renewable energy group. In this role, Ryan assists the renewable energy team with the due diligence and closing of new project acquisitions.  

Prior to joining Monarch, Ryan served as a Project Acquisition Associate for New Energy Equity, where he closed the sale of 20 MW of community solar assets and 14 MW of community solar acquisitions across the Northeast and Midwest. Ryan also built and maintained project finance models for valuations of distributed generation solar and solar + storage assets, refined the project valuation process to reduce the indicative valuation turnaround time, created diligence tracking tools for project acquisitions, and assisted in closing financing for projects in warehousing facilities. Additionally, Ryan previously worked as a Government Relations Analyst for Evans and Associates, focusing on data analytics and policy analysis for various lobbying efforts.

Ryan earned a BS in finance from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business and a BA in Public Policy from the School of Public Policy. He received an honors citation from the University of Maryland for the Business, Society and the Economy Scholars Program, and completed an exchange program at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, focusing on international finance and monetary policy.
