573 Meeting Street is a new six-story affordable housing development in Charleston, South Carolina, featuring 70 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments for residents earning 50% of the Area Median Income or less. All units are reserved for homeless and formerly homeless individuals and include project-based Section 8 subsidies, ensuring tenants pay no more than 30% of their income toward rent. In addition to safe, stable housing, the community will feature ground-floor commercial space with a café and food pantry, providing both essential services and neighborhood amenities in the heart of Charleston.
