Benson Building

The historic Benson Building, located in downtown Sioux City, had been vacant for a substantial amount of time prior to this redevelopment. The building is accessed on the east side from Pearl Street to the west, 7th Street to the south, and Douglas Street to the east The building is situated at the eastside of the site. The management office is located on the first-floor west side. Financing and rehabilitation efforts began in 2023 and are expected to be completed in 2027, resulting in apartments, modern office spaces, restaurants and a possible grocery store located in the building. This new community space is targeted to young professionals who want to live and work in the downtown area.
