The Cottonwood Solar Farm has been providing renewable energy for Northhampton County and the surrounding areas of Charlotte, North Carolina, since 2017. Its 4,150 kWdc of clean power positively impacts the local economy, environment and the health and livelihood of residents throughout the community. The expansive solar installation brings new job opportunities into the city and lowers energy costs for locals. By way of the solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC), Cottonwood Solar Farm generates clean energy that produces zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and reduces air pollution, creating a healthier and more sustainable environment.
