Ian Chomat

Ian Chomat is a Partner, CFO for Monarch Private Capital, a member of the Company’s Management Committee and a member of Monarch’s ESG Committee. In these roles, Ian is responsible for the management and growth of the business, optimizing long-term financial returns, and for overseeing all accounts and financial reporting for the company. He is responsible for tracking the company’s financial status and managing the organizational cash flow forecast by monitoring Monarch’s existing tax credit portfolios as well as potential tax credit acquisitions. Ian’s knowledge of Monarch’s day-to-day operations and his understanding of ESG principals are critical to the systematic integration of the Company’s ESG initiatives.

Prior to Monarch, Ian worked as Controller for a company that specialized in the development, construction, and syndication of LIHTC.  He’s held various positions, including Chief Financial Officer, and was a consultant for both privately held and publicly traded companies. His diverse experience over the past 15 years includes construction finance, development, telecom, and real estate industries. Ian’s career began in public accounting, where for eight years, he practiced both tax and assurance services for privately help companies.

Ian earned a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and business from Flagler College. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant.
