Historic Willis Building, located in St. Paul, Virginia, was originally constructed in the 1920s and served as a commercial and residential hub, housing the Willis Department Store on the ground floor and apartments above. For decades, it was a local landmark in the heart of St. Paul’s downtown district. Now repurposed, it serves as the Western Front Hotel, a boutique hospitality destination featuring guest rooms, a restaurant, music venue, and gathering spaces, while preserving the building’s historic façade and character. Monarch Private Capital provided the State HTC equity for the Holden Family’s 2017 redevelopment.
