Broadway Lofts, located in Kansas City, Missouri, was originally built in the early 20th century as the Harvey Dutton Dry Goods Co. Building, later known as the Isaacs Building and the Carnival Building. Serving as a dry goods storage facility, the building played a crucial role in Kansas City’s Garment District, housing clothing and home goods for distribution across the city and beyond. Named after Harvey Dutton, a key figure in the local textile industry, the building adapted to the shifting economic landscape, housing various industries throughout the decades. As mass garment production moved away from the city, the structure remained a historical reminder of Kansas City’s industrial boom. Now repurposed, it serves as a mixed-use development, preserving its historic character while offering 38 market-rate apartment units, along with ground-floor retail and restaurant space. Monarch Private Capital is providing the Federal HTC equity for Exact Partner’s 2024 redevelopment.
